Very handy tool for repairing EM (Electro-Mechanical) and SS (Solid State) pinball, jukebox and arcade game blade switches or relays. Used in conjunction with the burnishing tool or contact file you can clean and adjust your machine fairly easily.
When bending switch blades take care to always bend as close to the support insulator as possible, and to make only small adjustments. A rule of thumb for adjusting switch or relay blades is to have the moving blade just start to touch the stationary blade when it is 1/2 way through its cycle (either up or down). The idea here is there is sufficient gap to keep accidentaly closures from happening and also that as the moving blade makes contact it starts to push the stationary blade through the closing part of the cycle so the two contact faces rub each other. This rubbing helps keep them clean.
